Shopping center "Blockbuster Mall", Kyiv

"Blockbuster Mall" in Kyiv is one of the cases we are pleased to remember due to the installation of a soft roof.

"Blockbuster Mall" was designed based on progressive modern construction technologies. One of these is the installation of a soft roof using high-quality Sikaplan 15 VGWT PVC membrane.

Our company installed a 5000 sq.m. roof with the installation of parapets and various junctions connecting to the roof structure. Additionally, we equipped 2000 sq.m. pedestrian walkways in the complex.

The thermal insulation layer of the roofing cake consisted of plates made of mineral wool with a corresponding density, which we laid in two layers with mechanical fastening to the concrete base. Before this, we covered the concrete base with a Sarnavap 500E vapor barrier film.

The next step was the Sikaplan 15 VGWT PVC membrane, which was attached through the insulation to special telescopic mounting elements to the concrete base. We welded the membrane sheets using a welding machine for roofing membranes. This allowed us to achieve a seamless elastic carpet with reliable attachment to the base.
